GLENS FALLS, N.Y. -- Glens Falls police arrested the man they say is responsible for a shooting that sent one man to the hospital. Police arrested and charged Ricci Newman Johnson, 40, with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Police said Johnson was arraigned and is being held at Warren County Jail.
Police said the shooting happened Sunday night on Bay Street. The police chief said a man was shot in the leg, and did not believe the injury was life threatening. He was taken to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment. His name is not being released.
Police say there has been drug activity on the block in recent years, but they're not sure whether that actually led to the shooting.
