Another motion has been filed in the defamation lawsuit against Syracuse University and men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim, a suit filed over comments made by Boeheim in the wake of sexual abuse allegations against former assistant coach Bernie Fine. Erin Clarke has more.

NEW YORK STATE -- While they lost a court decision in New York City last Friday, lawyers for the two men who filed a defamation lawsuit against Syracuse University and men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim are taking a new approach in their effort to keep the case in New York City.

Bobby Davis and Mike Lang filed the suit over comments made by Boeheim in the wake of their sexual abuse allegations against former assistant coach Bernie Fine.

After a judge denied a motion to obtain information from SU about former basketball players who may have been in the New York City area, lawyers for Davis and Lang now plan to argue that their clients would be unable to get an impartial trial in Onondaga County. They cite numerous articles and documents about the economic importance and popularity of both SU and Boeheim in the community.

An Onondaga County judge is scheduled to hear the change of venue motion next Tuesday.
