BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Super Bowl parties are all about the food, and no Buffalo Super Bowl spread would be complete without some chicken wings. An estimated 1.2 billion chicken wings were served up over the weekend. That's big news for Buffalo, the creator of the game time tradition.

“I think this is a great branding opportunity for Buffalo this weekend, because still across the country they're called Buffalo wings. This is a good economic boost for restaurants and wing restaurants,” said Drew Czera, Wing King.

Czera says wing prices are much higher this time of year, but says prices should drop in the coming weeks.
