Fine investigation dispute on hold

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A dispute between the Onondaga County district attorney, Syracuse's mayor, and police over access to files related to the Bernie Fine investigation is on hold until next week.
The district attorney's office confirms that they and the city's corporation counsel appeared before state supreme court Judge James Murphy Tuesday morning. That was just in advance of a noon deadline for police to either hand over everything they have on Fine, or to file a motion to quash the subpoena commanding the information.
This all started Monday, after District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick says Mayor Stephanie Miner refused to share information related to the investigation with his office. According to the DA's office, the judge has sealed the matter and adjourned it until next Tuesday.
