ALBANY, N.Y. -- People in Albany take a stand against corporate banks as part of National 'move your money' day.
Progressive groups across the country are urging Americans to move their money out of the major banks. They said banks like Bank of America and Chase are not lending to qualified small businesses and individuals.
Organizers said it's not fair for the people to suffer while banks get bailed out by the government for bad management practices.
Albany resident Susan Weber said, “We're asking people all over this nation to move their money out of the banks and into credit unions and local banks. Banks that reinvest money in our communities and help our economy grow.”
The "move your money” day protestors said they are also a part of the Occupy Albany Movement.
