Services held for victims of home explosion

Services were also held for two of the victims killed in Salem when a house exploded last week. Our Solomon Syed has more on the services for Robert Sanford and Clarrisa Porlier.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Services were held for victims killed in Salem when a house exploded last week.

In Lake Luzerne, Robert Sanford, 16, was remembered by friends and family at his wake. He was later laid to rest.

In Hudson Falls, a wake for 19-year-old Clarrisa Porlier. We spoke with her mother, Linda, who talked about what a remarkable young woman she was. She was graduate of Hudson Falls High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She was preparing to attend the Culinary Institute of America where she would learn to become a chef.

It was last Wednesday that a home explosion killed five people. Porlier's boyfriend, Lawrence Berg II, 19, his mother, Tammy Palmer, 41, and Palmer's granddaughter, Niyah Durham, were also killed.

Funeral services for Clarrisa will be held Tuesday at Gospel Lighthouse Church.

Lawrence, Tammy and Niyah will be laid to rest this Friday. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church.
