Porco appeal denied
Convicted murderer Christopher Porco's appeal has been denied. Albany District Attorney David Soares says the Second Department Appellate Division has unanimously affirmed the guilty verdict. Porco was convicted in 2006 of the murder of his father and the attempted murder of his mother inside their Delmar home in November 2004. Porco's defense attorney had submitted the appeal, which was heard in Brooklyn back in November. He argued the prosecution took shortcuts that led to the unfair conviction of his client. Porco Defense Attorney Terry Kindlon joined us with reaction to the court's ruling.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The appeal for convicted murderer Christopher Porco has been denied.
Albany District Attorney David Soares said the Second Department Appellate Division has unanimously affirmed the guilty verdict.
Porco was convicted in 2006 of the murder of his father, Peter Porco, and the attempted murder of his mother, Joan Porco, inside their Delmar home in November 2004.
His defense attorney had submitted the appeal, which was heard in Brooklyn back in November. He argued the prosecution took shortcuts that led to the unfair conviction of his client.
Porco is serving 50 years to life in prison.
