D.C. beating Albany with snow totals
The nation's Capitol versus the state's Capitol. Ironically, this winter season, Washington, D.C. has been winning the title for most snow. Our Erin Connolly joined us outside the state Capitol building with more on this comparison.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- In our state's Capitol, we've seen a pretty mild winter. But head south to our nation's Capitol and it's a whole different story.
Usually Albany gets about 63 inches of snow every winter. But this winter, we're at about 22 inches so far. As for D.C., the city's well over its snowfall average with 58 inches of snow and counting. D.C. has been getting hit since September with travel nightmares and power outages and more heavy snow and high winds hit the area Wednesday.
Meanwhile, in Albany, temperatures have been average, but snowfall has been nearly nonexistent.
And the clock is still ticking on this winter season. Spring doesn't officially begin until March 20.
