Fabulous Fillies Day started with sunshine, was moistened by rain and ended with a brilliant sunset. Leading jockey Ramon Dominguez won three more races - including the featured Yaddo - to push his total to 43. Javier Castellano also won three times and stands second with 26 winners.
- Jitney became the sixth two-time winner at the meet when he captured the ninth. Jitney, trained by John Hertler, paid $28.20 after paying $17.80 to win on August 3. The other two-time winners are Kauai Katie, Spurious Precision, Ea, Elusive Jozi and To Dubai.
- The partnership of Klaravich Stables and Latham native William H. Lawrence is having an outstanding meet. Zero Yield finished second in the 10th and was claimed, pushing the Klaravich-Lawrence record at the meet to 7-7-7 from 28 starters: a win percentage of 25 and a top three finish of 75 percent.
- The Christophe Clement-trained Lady Cohiba paid $29.80 for winning the $100,000 Summer Guest overnight stake.
- The on-track attendance was down six percent to 21,586, the on-track handle was off 11 percent to $3,252,388 and the total handle, which has been up almost every day this season, was down six percent to $12,457,409.
