The Spa Spot: Opening day had its problems
The large crowd that turned out for the opening day of the 2012 season at Saratoga Race Course experienced some inconveniences.
- Water pressure was an issue in some areas of the facility and patrons were unable to flush toilets in rest rooms or drink from water fountains.
- The Wi-Fi coverage fluctuated during the day. It was very much of an issue in the press box for a few hours until NYRA employees found a solution. The free Wi-Fi available on the track grounds for the first time this year was spotty, some patrons said.
- While the sound system was booming in many areas and may have been a too loud for comfort, folks in Section F of the clubhouse said the speakers in their area were out all day.
