Saturday marks the opening round of sectionals in boys’ high school lacrosse, at least in Class A and that's where we'll start.

Up in Saratoga where the Blue Streaks played host to the LaSalle Cadets in the 10-7 game.

Toga led it 3-2 at the half. 3rd quarter Blue Streaks a man up and Dan Costello fires one home to make it a 4-2 lead.

Cadets answer, on the man advantage Connor Shanahan feeds Brian Schneider who scores to get LaSalle back within 1.

More from LaSalle, Shanahan comes from behind the cage and scores on the jump shot to tie the game at 4.

Later Cadets up 5-4, Ben Cummings with a defender all over him he goes high and beats the goalie to tie things back up at 5. Saratoga holds on to win a tight one 9-8 over LaSalle.

Two more games in Class A. 8th seeded Bethlehem squeaks out a win at home over 9th seeded Colonie 11-10. And 5th seeded Ballston Spa takes care of business in the opening round, they beat Ballston Spa 17-4.
