Tebow addresses the media as official member of Jets' franchise
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Tim Tebow touches down in the Meadowlands. The New York Jets officially introduced their new backup quarterback.
Tebow said he talked with some of his new teammates, including starting quarterback and personal friend Mark Sanchez.
Last year Tebow was given the starting job in Denver, where he turned around the Broncos season and led them to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Tebow said he spoke with Jets coaches about running the "wildcat" offense, a hybrid scheme that uses two passers.
As far as the "Tebowing" craze, Tebow said he is not the first player to get on one knee and pray on the field. He said being a Christian is the first and foremost important thing in his life.
