The spring sports season is in full swing. The St. Rose baseball team opened up play at home today. The Golden Knights dropped game one of a doubleheader to UMass-Lowell 6-1.
Moving on to game 2. The Golden Knights and River Hawks ready for Round 2.
Bottom of the 3rd St. Rose down 1-0. Kyle Charron singles to rightfield, that brings Justin Lewis home from 3rd and the game is tied at 1.
Top of the 4th UMass-Lowell at the plate, with a runner on 1st. Mark Sanborn drives one to right that's off the wall. James Katsiroubas slides in there safe to give the Riverhawks the 2-1 lead.
Later in the inning, Jimmy Ricoy with the hot shot to 2nd. He beats it out for an infield single, that scores another run and UMass-Lowell is up 3-1. They go on to beat St. Rose by a final of 11-3.
