SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Union Hockey team is back in Bridgeport, Connecticut for the second year in a row to play in the NCAA Tournament.
The Dutchmen scored a spot after winning the ECAC championship last weekend and securing a number one seed. The team is ranked 3rd in the nation.
According to head coach Rick Bennett, the players have their sights set on more than just a bid to the tournament.
“The Dutchman will be taking on Michigan State in the first round. Both teams have had strong defense throughout the season,” said Jim Welsh, junior forward.
YNN will be covering the Dutchmen throughout their NCAA playoff stint so stay tuned for updates.
