On the high school hardwood, it was state championship time for a pair of section two teams. On the girls side Averill Park back in the Class A title game of the 3rd straight year, AP taking on East of Rochester for the class A crown.

AP looking for their second title in last three years.

Third quarter, AP down 3, Allison Nunziato for 3, game tied at 26.

East on the run the other way, Renetta Fordham, and it's East up by 2.

AP responds, Bridget Carney inside for 2, tied at 28 after 3.

Fourth quarter, it's Tyra Jones with the layup for East, they lead 40-32.

East wins 43-35.
