UAlbany women fall to Texas A and M

The UAlbany Women’s basketball team has already made history this season, they won the first ever America East Championship and advanced to the first NCAA tournament in school history. So why not got for the trifecta and pull the monster upset and beat the defending national champs from Texas A&M.

First half, Danes on the run, Cassandra Callaway with the J, Danes down 2.

Later it's Tabitha Makopondo with the shooter roll, UA down 21-19.

Then Ebone Henry for 3, Danes tie it at 25. Henry with 14.

A&M takes the lead into halftime, Tyra White for 3, she had 18 to lead all scorers, Danes down 30-26 at half.

Second half, here comes UA, Sarah Royals the layup, it's 32-30.

Then it's Adrienne Jones to tie the game at 32, UA thinking upset in Texas.

But A&M gets hot after that, Tyra White again, to push the lead to 7.

Then Alexia Standish with the 3, the lead goes to 10. Standish scores 12, she hits another 3.

Texas A&M wins 69-47. UA ends the season, 23-10.
