Hudson Valley basketball standout Ramel Alexander has come a long way over the years. Alexander told us his story of getting into trouble and deciding at 25 years old it was time to turn his life around. His goal at that point was to get a scholarship to a four-year school.

Alexander has worked tirelessly both in the classroom and on the basketball court, and now his hard work is being rewarded. He has received a full athletic scholarship to Division II Bloomfield College next year in New Jersey.

Alexander led the Vikings this past season in points, rebounds, assists and steals. He averaged a double double, 21 points and 11 boards a contest.

Bloomfield College plays in the Central Atlantic College Conference and finished this past season 21-8.
