EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. -- It's time now to honor our Kid of the Week. This week we salute eight-year-old Isabella Dupont of East Greenbush.

Isabella saw a Smile Train ad in the weekly paper at her grandmother's house. After some brainstorming she came up with the idea she could collect 5,000 bottles and cans for 5 cents apiece.

Knowing this was a big project, she brought the idea to her Girl Scout Troop 1474 and they agreed to participate. They returned bottles by themselves and as a troop finally reached the $250 goal.
