NEW YORK CITY -- Roll out the ready carpet and get ready to smoke your look for fall. Jenny Packham's latest collection packs a punch with deep red satin dresses, crystal covered necklines and elegant evening gowns, all inspired by Hollywood's film noir from the 1940s.
Designer Jenny Packham said, “And the most inspiring part of it was the leading ladies who were real femme-fatales who were glamorous, enticing, dangerous.
And whether you show off a cinched waist or something off the shoulder, these figure-fitting looks will leave your onlookers in the dust.
"Gossip Girl" actress Kaylee DeFer said, “I feel like a princess when I wear her clothes. It kind of takes me back to dress up when I was a little girl.”
And now we leave Jenny Packham's dark and dramatic collection and go check out what Rachel Roy has in store for fall. Follow me.
Come the fall you'll see lots of earthy tones for Rachel Roy's modern day woman.
Designer Rachel Roy said, “The starting point was a documentary called "Women in the Dirt" and it focuses on female landscape architects and how they take natural elements like moss, stone, dirt even and create very strong linear lines in urban settings.”
And when it came time to design these snoods, silhouettes and shoes. Roy said she made this collection for the busy woman who balances it all.
“If they're not going to a job, they're going to something in their life that they balance very passionately. And they need to get pulled together quickly,” said Roy.
And her loyal following says these looks are just what they need to help them get dressed and run out the door.
“The Help” actress Anna O'Reilly said, “It's so beautiful and different and I love the shoes.
“It's just so fresh and really young. I mean this, the clothes fit beautifully,” said Alexandra Chando, Actress in "The Lying Game".
Megan Hilty, an Actress in "Smash" said, “I love her use of textures and colors and how amazing they make me feel when I wear them.
So thanks to Roy now you've got the dirt on what will be hot when the temperature cools.
