HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Republican Rich Wager says it looks like he's fallen short of winning the special election for the 103rd Assembly district seat.
Wager was looking to take over Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro's old seat.
The 103rd district runs from East Fishkill in Dutchess County all the way up to Canaan in Columbia County.
Wager worked for Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg specializing in economic development before transitioning into the public sector as an investment consultant.
Wager also wished his former challenger, Didi Barrett, luck, but says he has not yet decided if he will challenge Barrett in November for the newly drawn district.
