Levy announces candidacy for governor on Republican line

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy has announced his campaign for governor. Speaking in Albany on Friday, the lifelong Democrat discussed his decision to switch parties and his plans to challenge Rick Lazio for the Republican nomination for governor. Capital Tonight's Kaitlyn Ross was there for the announcement and has the details.

Senate passes property tax plan

The Senate has passed a plan that Senate Democrats say will give back some of your tax money. The property tax plan would give more than a million New Yorkers relief on their property tax bill by installing a circuit breaker, which means taxpayers would receive rebate checks based on a percentage of their income.
