If you find yourself in the Adirondack region near Lake Placid, New York, you'll want to discover the Ausable Chasm. People have been enjoying this summertime adventure for 142 years! Five miles of self-guided trails take you along the gorges and cliffs, some can be challenging but fun. At the end, the scenic raft ride along the Ausable River is a welcome relief!

Travel Tip: Wear good shoes and bring water!

Admission: $16 Adults, $9 ages 5-12, under 5 are free! When the water is high enough, there are tube rides at $10 each.
