The 2012 Scion iQ is an all-new model. It’s small, but there's nothing basic about it. The iQ is fun to drive and a good choice for urban dwellers due to its tight turning radius, zippy torque, CVT transmission, and short wheelbase. Another advantage is that it’s really easy to find a parking spot for the tiny iQ.

The iQ feels slower than you'd expect from a 2,127-pound car with a 94-hp engine. Nevertheless, the reward comes at the gas station, where the Scion has great fuel economy and will keep your budget intact.

On the highway, the iQ delivers acceptable stability and doesn’t feel vulnerable to oversize SUVs in the next lane. Crosswinds affect it, but that's to be expected in a smaller car.

Competes with:
•Mini Cooper
•Fiat 500
•Ford Fiesta
•Hyundai Accent
•Nissan Versa
•Honda
•Toyota Yaris
•KIA Rio
•Mazda 2

Likes:
•Compact, tight handling car
•Great fuel economy
•Lots of style inside and out
•Unique appearance
•Easy to park

Dislikes:
•Only seats two comfortably
•Excessive engine noise at highway speeds
•Some minor blind spots

The 2012 Scion iQ is a minimalist, metropolitan runabout with great fuel economy and fun styling, unique and youthful in appearance both inside and out.

Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you.
