BERKSHIRE COUNTY, Mass. -- The First Lady is making a fundraising pit stop in the Berkshires today. Michelle Obama will be in Pittsfield and Springfield on behalf of her husband's re-election campaign.
First, she'll stop at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. That event for supporters is a $2,500 a plate luncheon.
The First Lady will then make her way to the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield for a fundraising concert. Singer-songwriter James Taylor will actually perform for the $150 a head concert.
Mrs. Obama will round out her trip with a roundtable discussion headed by Governor Deval Patrick.
It's the first time a First Lady has visited the bay state in more than 10 years.
