FLORIDA, N.Y. -- Two teenagers were arrested in connection with the deaths of two teen boys whose bodies were found Thursday in the Town of Florida.

Anthony Brasmiester, 16, and a 15-year-old from the Town of Florida are charged with second-degree murder.

State Police said Paul Damphier, 16, and Jonathan DeJesus, 13, had both been shot, and their bodies were discovered off Snooks Corners Road in the Town of Florida on Thursday. They had been missing for more than a week.

Brasmiester was jailed without bail. The 15-year-old was sent to the Capital District Juvenile Detection Facility.

Amsterdam School Superintendent Thomas Perillo released a statement saying, "These young men were valuable members of the school community whose families have long roots in the region. Their deaths will leave a large void. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to their families and friends."
