NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The American East leading Yankees are trying to regroup after losing two pitchers to injury this week. Rookie Adam Warren started last night against the White Sox, and it wasn't pretty.
Warren allowed six runs and eight hits under three innings of action en route to the Yanks second straight loss. On the bright side, Hideki Kuroda took the mound Saturday afternoon for the Bronx Bombers. After a slow start, Kuroda improved, especially against the lefties and they will need him to keep this up.
Andy Pettitte suffered a broken fibula after being hit by a pitch earlier this week, while ace C.C. Sabathia was placed on the 15 day DL due to a strained muscle in his leg.
