Burglary suspect arrested for grand larceny in East Greenbush
SCHODACK, N.Y. -- An Averill Park man who was arrested for a burglary in Saratoga County last week was arrested again by State Police for grand larceny in East Greenbush.
Thomas Sutliff II, 25, is accused of taking $4,000 as a down payment for work to be performed in the Town of East Greenbush. State Police said he never did the work and refused to reimburse the alleged victim after repeated requests over an extended period of time.
Last week, Sutliff was arrested in connection with a burglary at a home in Northumberland. State Police said jewelry was stolen during the burglary but that Sutliff took off when the homeowner returned and dropped his cell phone in the house.
The alleged victim in East Greenbush contacted police after reading about Sutliff's burglary arrest.
Sutliff is a self-employed contractor who is believed to have worked and traveled extensively throughout the Capital Region. Anyone with information on Thomas Sutliff is asked to contact State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Schodack at (518) 732-4644.
