Albany man arrested in connection to July homicide
ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany man has been arrested in connection with a homicide from last July.
Detectives say Maleek Johnson, 19, shot Ishmael Dowling, 28, while he was driving near the intersection of Third Avenue and Broad Street in Albany. Dowling was shot in his back and crashed his vehicle in the front of a home on Broad Street.
Johnson has been charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He is being held in the Albany County Jail.
