TROY, N.Y. -- Starting Monday morning, a portion of Congress Street will be closed for construction, specifically 11th Street to 15th Street. City officials said while it will remain open to local traffic, they know that this will be an inconvenience. They said that in the end, it will be a small price to pay for the Congress Street they'll have when they're done.

Crews said construction will begin around 6 a.m. and end around 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. So if you do usually drive this way, just plan accordingly for that timeframe. Businesses along the stretch will remain open and residents will be able to access their homes as usual.
