Saratoga County, N.Y. -- The Saratoga Springs man who pleaded guilty to felony theft for stealing from St. Clement's Church and horse show will be sentenced in Saratoga County Court Monday.
Charles "Dewey" Walling said he stole thousands of dollars from the church by falsifying souvenir sales. Walling would order shirts for sale at the horse show, submit false invoices for an amount larger than the actual cost, then keep the difference. He's said to have stolen more than $33,000 over a six year period.
Walling is expected to receive six months in jail and five years probation, and will have to pay restitution.
