SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man who's accused of making threats against President Obama, as well as school children, has been indicted by a grand jury in Saratoga County.

Officials say Brent Dickinson was intercepted by the Secret Service when he posted his intent on the White House message board earlier this month. The Secret Service, along with the Saratoga Springs Police Department, identified his location through his emails.

Dickinson was indicted on the alleged threat against school children and the U.S. Attorney's Office is handling the alleged threat against the President.

"The other charge he was arrested for, which was threatening President Obama. That charged has been transferred to the U.S. Attorney's Office. We have spoken and they have concurrent jurisdiction. They are better equipped to handle threats against the President. It's what they do and we agreed they would prosecute that case, while we prosecute the case against the allegation against the school children. I think that's the best way to handle the allegations," said Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy.

If convicted, Dickinson faces up to seven years in prison on the threat against school children and additional time on the federal charge.
