BOSTON, MASS. -- The season has come to an end for the Syracuse Orange. The men's basketball team lost to Ohio State in the Elite Eight tonight 77 to 70. It was a tough end to an incredible season that was plagued by controversy.
Most recently, the suspension of Sophomore Center Fab Melo, causing him to miss the entire NCAA tournament. Still the Orange fought hard and played well without him, advancing past the sweet 16 for the first time since their title-run back in 2003.
All night long we've been giving you a look at the crowd inside Varsity Restaurant on the SU Hill where fans were glued to the TV, that crowd is now spilling out onto the streets, where Syracuse Police are keeping a close eye on things.
They have dozens of officers on and around Marshall Street monitoring the traffic and making sure no one gets out of line.
As you've heard, this is the first time Syracuse has been to the Final Four since they won the national title in 2003. And, it's being held in the same place as 2003, New Orleans.
Make sure you stay tuned to YNN. Jim Boeheim and the Orange are expected to take the podium for their post-game press conference in just a few moments. We will bring that to you live.
