FORT EDWARD, N.Y. -- Triple murder suspect Matthew Slocum appeared in court Thursday. He is accused of killing three people, including his mother, before burning down their White Creek home.

A multi-state Amber Alert was also issued when police say he took his girlfriend and infant son against their will.

Thursday's hearing was to review what statements Slocum made following the incident. Prosecutors say they have documents claiming Slocum says he shot his mother.

Slocum pleaded not guilty to the 11 charges against him. Those include three counts of murder, tampering with evidence, petit and grand larceny, and criminal possession of a weapon.
